Come Home: A Call Back to FaithAWOL Christians I am sorry to say that I have too many stories of people who seem to be walking with the Lord, and then suddenly, I don’t see them around church-world anymore. Has that happened to you? Like you, my heart breaks at their absence. I wonder where they are, what keeps them away, and what I could do to help them come back to the fellowship of believers. I want to do whatever I can to understand them and bring them back home. God tells us to do that: "My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20 Perhaps you're the wanderer; you're the skeptic or the prodigal. The invitation of this book is this: Come home. No matter where you've been, no matter what you've done, even if you've been away for a long time, please come home. The great message of the Gospel is your past can be forgiven. Hurts can be healed. Sin can be atoned for. We worship God today because of what Jesus Christ has done for sinful people . . . like all of us.
