Update on Blogging :)
Posted by James MacDonald on May 1, 2008 07:35 AM | Comments (6)Hey:
Stay tuned; my absence is not a departure. We have felt the current format is caught between devotional thoughts which are available many other places in my teaching ministry, ie. Our Journey, Weekly Walk, etc.
We are rebuilding the site to focus exclusively on trends in the church/ doctrinal issues, other matters of interest to Christian leaders. It should be up in the next little while, certainly in May.
Stay tuned,
james

Hey James,
Great to hear from you! I hope that God blessed you and Kathy while spreading the "Good News" of our saviour LORD Jesus in Virginia and Carolina. Wanted to share my heart in your absence....Well in a nutshell.. The Harvest family is truly blessed of having Dr. Stowell and Pastor Rick feeding the flock. Truly a blessing to be part of the Harvest family as well by GOD's grace alone, Amen. May God bless you and use you as his chosen instrument bringing his word forword!

Thanks so much! I am looking forward to some more thought provoking articles to look at. All of us in Collingwood would love to see a Harvest Bible Chapel here.

My prayer is for fire and passion. God has been really challenging me about Christianity and violence. I've also been thinking about ministry and about a church plant-will the end of my efforts just be another church building?? I was reminded of the fire and passion which have come from your ministry. If my efforts result in even a small place like that it wouldn't be a bad thing. : ) God bless you with fire and passion.

Pastor James...on sunday(may 4th) in your serman you mentioned that you were going through some difficult times but wouldn't elaborate. i just want you to know that i am praying very hard everyday for you and your family. it was in 2004 when i first came to Harvest, heartbroken, and depressed after my wife told me she wanted a divorce.pastor rick baptized me and i've been following you ever since. you have inspired me by your teachings from the bible.i just wanted you to know this. you saved me.

The church has become man-centered instead of God-centered, and the focus is on felt needs instead of God's glory. These problems are not peripheral things. I'm convinced that the very heart and nature of the church and the Gospel are at stake. The greatest need of the hour is revival and reform that produces true churches where God is the center, the glory of God is the focus, and the Bible is the authoritative and sufficient manual.
